Another blast of Arctic air could bring record cold to South Florida this weekend

West Palm Beach, FLA. (WPEC) — Below-average temperatures continue across the region early this morning. A Freeze Warning remains in effect for Okeechobee County until 9 a.m., where temperatures could drop as low as 31 degrees early this morning. There is also a Cold Weather Advisory in effect for Inland Indian River and St. Lucie Counties. Residents in these areas should protect sensitive plants, bring pets indoors, and dress warmly.

Pleasant afternoons but dry conditions raise fire concerns

Despite the cold mornings, conditions improve during the day. More sunshine is expected today through Friday, allowing afternoon temperatures to rebound into the 70s across much of South Florida.
