Massachusetts is still recovering from a major snowstorm that dumped over 2 feet of snow in some communities at the end of last weekend. But forecasters say the state might be in for another significant snowstorm just a week later.
A rapidly intensifying storm system known as a “bomb cyclone” is brewing off the coast of the Southeastern United States, according to forecasters. But whether it will bring more heavy snow to New England or have little to no impact on the region is still very much up in the air.
“We are monitoring a potential coastal storm for late this weekend, but there is still significant uncertainty in its track,” National Weather Service Boston forecaster Torry Dooley said Wednesday.
