DES MOINES, Iowa — MercyOne Medical Center in Des Moines is laying off 67 employees next month.
According to the Iowa’s Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification, or WARN, website, the layoffs are set to take effect March 17. Employees were notified of the layoffs earlier this week.
In a statement sent to Iowa’s News Now, MercyOne said, “This decision is a proactive step and part of our broader initiatives to reposition our ministry and work to ensure long-term sustainability and future growth.”…
