BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — The Krewe of Southdowns is rolling through the Southdowns neighborhood Friday, Feb. 13, for its 39th annual parade.
The parade is scheduled to start at 7 p.m., rain or shine.
This year’s theme is “Southdowns Vacation.”

Parade Route
The parade starts on Glasgow Avenue near Glasgow Middle School before turning left onto Whitehaven Street, then turning right onto Lee Drive, and turning right again onto Hyacinth Avenue. The krewe will turn left onto Edinburgh Avenue, left onto Arrowhead Street, and left again onto Stuart Avenue. The floats will go down Stuart Avenue and turn left onto Whitehaven Street, turn right onto Stephens Avenue, and then left onto Hyacinth Avenue. The parade will turn right onto Cherrydale Avenue, right onto Morning Glory Avenue, and finally left onto Cloverdale Avenue until it comes to a stop at the Acadian-Perkins Shopping Center.
