AUSTIN, Texas — A man has been charged in the shooting death of his girlfriend in southeast Austin on Monday.
At 12:30 a.m. Monday morning, APD officers responded to reports of a shooting at a home in the 5900 block of Wagon Bend. The caller stated that a woman had been shot and was bleeding from her head, and that the suspect was still nearby.
Officers arrived and located the woman, 45-year-old Denise Tijerina, in the kitchen suffering from a gunshot wound. She was taken to the hospital in critical condition…
