MADISON, Wis. — A 67-year-old man accused of killing his daughter’s ex-boyfriend on Madison’s south side early Sunday morning is being held on a $2 million cash bond.
According to a probable cause statement, a Madison Police Department Violent Crime Unit detective was called to the area of 449 Primrose Lane just before 3 a.m. for reported gunshots and a potential victim on the ground. The Dane County Medical Examiner’s Office identified him as 34-year-old Luis Sotero Herrera. The cause and manner of death were pending as of Wednesday, along with additional testing.
