Four suspects arrested following a standoff in Wisconsin, “large amount” of money, jewelry recovered

GRAFTON, Wis. (WFRV) – Four people in connection with a recent burglary of a “large amount” of money and jewelry are now in custody following a standoff early Wednesday morning.

According to a release from the Ozaukee County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were notified around 11:00 p.m. of a black Dodge Durango SUV with Nebraska registration that was involved in a burglary earlier that night, during which a large amount of money and jewelry were taken from a home in Beaver Dam.

Officials indicated that the suspect vehicle had entered Ozaukee County following the burglary and at 3:45 Wednesday morning, deputies found a vehicle matching the suspect vehicle’s description and registration parked in the driveway of a residence on the 500 block of Lake Shore Road in the Town of Grafton.

A perimeter was then set up around the residence with deputies issuing commands over a loudspeaker to those inside. Two people attempted to flee from the back of the building but retreated back inside after being confronted by officers on the perimeter…
