NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — More than a week after a double homicide in the Fairgrounds neighborhood, the name of one of the victims has yet to be released. Also, the New Orleans Police Department hasn’t announced any motive, suspect or arrests. The case is the latest one to roll on the Wheel of Justice.
According to police, around 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 20, they found two people shot to death inside a home in the 100 block of Chalfant Place.

Three days after the bodies were discovered, the Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office released the name of one of the victims, 52-year-old Lataunda Frisco. The coroner confirmed she’d been shot to death.
But more than a week after finding the victims, the coroner’s office hadn’t released the name of the man who was killed. When WGNO News reached out, we were told that the case remains under investigation. A spokesperson suggested we check back in about six weeks and ask to see the coroner’s report on the case.
