Kansas – Crisp air stings exposed skin this morning as flags snap in a steady north wind. Pavement looks dry, but the cold feels sharp. Winter is not finished with south-central Kansas, and small changes will matter for travel and daily plans.

According to the National Weather Service in Wichita, flurries are possible later today and again Friday, mainly across central and south-central Kansas. Accumulations remain light, ranging from a trace to a quarter inch, but even minor snow can reduce traction. Wind chills between minus 10 and minus 15 degrees are expected by Friday night into early Saturday, creating dangerous exposure conditions…
