Two 20-Year-Old Men Critically Injured in Separate Shootings in North Seattle and Pierce County

Yesterday in North Seattle’s Northgate neighborhood, a 20-year-old man was left in critical condition after being shot multiple times while sitting in his car. As reported by KOMO News, Seattle Police Department officers responded to the incident at about 12:45 a.m. near the 1000 block of North 98th Street, close to a local Burgermaster.

The first responders administered emergency care to the man before he was transported by the Seattle Fire Department to Harborview Medical Center for surgery. According to MyNorthwest, the suspects involved in the shooting fled the area in a vehicle before police could apprehend them. The motivations behind the incident are still being investigated, and the authorities have called upon anyone with information to come forward.

In a separate but similarly violent event, a drive-by shooting occurred in Pierce County’s Midland area, leaving another young man, also 20, injured. The Pierce County Sheriff’s Office told FOX 13 Seattle that the shooting took place near 99th Street East and 10th Avenue East at approximately 3 a.m on the same day.
