RTC Road Ahead: Donations needed for children in foster care at annual Stuff-a-Bus in Sparks

SPARKS, Nev. (KOLO) – Foster and adoptive children in our community need your help. That’s why KOLO and RTC are teaming up with Target to collect donations for these families. We’re inviting everyone in the community to stuff a bus for Children in Care.

The annual Stuff-a-Bus donation drive is about more than just providing warm clothes to children in need. Jesse Brown, the supervisor of the Family Engagement Cetner for Washoe County Human Services, says it’s an opportunity to show these kids that their community cares about them.

“For kids to be able to come into the family engagement center and pick out jackets, hoodies, sweats, all that kind of stuff that they need for the winter is great. Again, being able to give them a choice that they can pick out is amazing,” said Brown…
