HONOLULU (KHON2) — Farmers’ markets are seeing a surge in shoppers since the pandemic — Hawaii residents are looking for products that are fresh, local and possibly cheaper.
There is not just fresh produce at the local neighborhood farmers’ market. Products range from full-blown meals to locally-sourced honey.

“I’m very proud, I got it right here on the label, we got Waimanalao, Kailua, you know, Kaneohe, Honolulu, West side, North Shore,” said Max Towey, Meli LLC owner. “They taste profoundly different. So what you’ll figure out is every tree produces a different like composition of nectar.”
