Police chase of stolen Porsche ends with 3 arrests, automatic gun seized

BUFFALO, N.Y. — A police pursuit involving a stolen vehicle Wednesday night ended with three arrests and the recovery of a fully automatic firearm.

The sequence of events started around 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, when Buffalo Police officers responded to a report of a stolen Porsche at the Walgreens at Hertel and Parkside avenues. Police said they were told that someone in the vehicle was armed with a handgun equipped with an extended magazine and a switch.

Hours passed before the Porsche was located near Genesee Street and Bailey Avenue around 8:20 p.m. When officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop, the vehicle fled, traveling west on Genesee Street, turning onto Best Street, then heading east on the Kensington Expressway, according to police…
