Community Action Partnership of North Alabama (CAPNA) and Republic Services are partnering to complete construction of the Neighborhood Promise Training Center, a new facility designed to provide hands-on education and resources for aspiring and current homeowners in the Decatur area.
The project is made possible through a $160,000 National Neighborhood Promise® grant from the Republic Services Charitable Foundation. Once complete, the training center will serve as a homeowner empowerment hub, offering workshops and practical training aimed at strengthening long-term housing stability and financial success for individuals and families across the Decatur Metropolitan Area.
Modeled after a single-family home, the center has been transformed into an immersive learning environment with purpose-built spaces for hands-on instruction in common home maintenance and repair tasks.
