A 69-year-old driver was struck and killed by a vehicle on the New Jersey Turnpike early Thursday after he exited his SUV when it became disabled, officials said.
Larry Larobis was standing beside his vehicle at 5:20 a.m. on the inner roadway near milepost 96.9 in Linden when an SUV traveling in the right lane hit him and the left rear of his broken-down vehicle.
