2 Myrtle Beach men jailed in killing of man found in back seat of burned SUV near Longs

HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — Two Myrtle Beach men were arrested Tuesday by Horry County authorities, who say they shot and killed a Loris man whose body was found in October in the back seat of a burned SUV in the Longs area.

Jerrick Larog Thomas, 20, and Evin Elijah Worrell, 23, face murder and gun charges in the Oct. 4 killing of 20-year-old Stoney Floyd Jr., according to arrest warrants News13 obtained from Horry County police. Both are being held without bail at the J. Reuben Long Detention Center.

A third man — Jayveon Nylek McCaskill, 20, of Longs — allegedly drove multiple people away from Floyd’s Mitsubishi Outlander after it was set on fire in near Bullock Trail and W. Bear Grass Road. He was arrested on Oct. 17 and charged with accessory after the fact to murder and remains in jail on a $75,000 bond…
