United States Attorney David Metcalf announced on January 28th that 34-year-old Jasmine Williams of Plymouth Meeting was sentenced to five years in prison by United States District Judge Kelley Brisbon Hodge for defrauding the Federal Emergency Management Agency (“FEMA”) following the impact of Hurricane Ida.
Williams was indicted in April 2024 with one count of fraud related to a major disaster declaration, 24 counts of wire fraud, and seven counts of mail fraud. She pleaded guilty to all 32 charges in September of 2025.
