Jakob Heintzelman case bound over to grand jury; judge imposes jail time for separate probation violations

PERRYSBURG, Ohio — An 18-year-old Northwood man charged in connection with the shooting death of 15-year-old Symini Moore will have his case reviewed next by a Wood County grand jury.

Jakob Heintzelman appeared in court Thursday morning, where he waived his right to a preliminary hearing and consented to the case being bound over for grand jury consideration.

Heintzelman is charged with one count of reckless homicide, a third-degree felony, in Moore’s death.
