SHALLOTTE, N.C. (WECT) – Brunswick County Public Utilities (BCPU) reported approximately 15,000 gallons of untreated wastewater were discharged from the Shallotte Wastewater Treatment Plant on Tuesday, Jan. 27.
This discharge happened near 349 Forest St. Extension and was discovered by BCPU staff at 9 p.m. on Jan. 28.
