Baton Rouge woman accused of illegally receiving thousands of dollars in SNAP benefits

BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — A fraud investigation involving Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits concluded with the arrest of a former employee of the East Baton Rouge Parish School Board and Northeast Elementary School.

Megan Guerin, 34, of Baton Rouge, was charged with unauthorized use of food stamps.

She is accused of receiving $11,066 in SNAP benefits that she was not eligible for, according to a fraud investigator with the Louisiana Department of Health.
