Des Moines Police seize firearms in trafficking, gang investigation

DES MOINES, Iowa — The Des Moines Police Department served search warrants at three locations early Thursday morning in connection with an investigation into illegal gun trafficking and gang activity.

Inappropriate communications probe: Roland-Story staff member on paid leave

Sgt. Paul Parizek, Public Information Officer of the DMPD, said as part of the ongoing investigation, warrants were served at two apartments in the 6000 block of Creston Avenue and a house in the 1700 block of Beaver Avenue at 6:00 a.m.

Firearms were seized at each location.

No other details about the investigation were immediately released…
