Driver convicted after hitting, killing Cinco Ranch High School student who was riding bike to school

FORT BEND COUNTY, Texas — A 22-year-old man has been convicted of manslaughter after he hit and killed a 14-year-old Cinco Ranch High School student who was riding his bicycle back in 2023, the Fort Bend County District Attorney’s Office told KHOU 11 on Thursday.

Devin Delvalle, 22, crashed into Logan Dark, 14, while the boy was riding his bike on Mason Road in Cinco Ranch shortly before 7 a.m. on Sept. 28, 2023. The teen, a student at Cinco Ranch High School, was reportedly headed to the school at the time of the crash.

Delvalle stayed at the scene after the crash and was later arrested under a new Texas law that cracks down on drivers involved in crashes leading to injury or death of a person at a crosswalk…
