A man who died after being shot during a home burglary in Central City earlier this month was identified by the Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office Thursday.
Alvin Dabney Jr., 58, was shot as he was walking into his home in the 2100 block of Jackson Avenue on Jan. 12, New Orleans police said. Police were called just before 7 p.m. and Dabney was transported to a local hospital by New Orleans EMS.
