Bull riders and fighters injured at National Western Stock Show

DENVER (KDVR) — Several bull riders and fighters were injured in the National Western Stock Show this year, with some hospitalized and others with several broken ribs.

During the 120th annual National Western Stock Show in January, cattle paraded the streets, auction sales topped a million dollars and the largest crowd in the stock show’s history gathered for the tradition. However, with the rodeo came some major injuries.

A spokesperson for the stock show said that there were three bull riders, a bullfighter and a saddleback bronco rider injured.

During the Professional Bull Riders, one bull rider was transported to the hospital, and the second bull rider was treated on site. There was also a bull rider transported from the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association part of the rodeo and treated overnight before heading back home to Montana, the spokesperson said…
