Town hall held in Sun City over proposed APS rate hikes

SUN CITY, AZ (AZFamily) — With many Arizonans already feeling squeezed by rising costs, APS customers can learn what a proposed rate hike could mean for their budgets at a community town hall in Sun City Thursday morning.

APS filed an application last year seeking a 14% rate increase to its electric services, which would add an average of about $20 to monthly bills. APS says the increase is necessary to recover past spending on operations, maintenance and electrical‑grid improvements.
