‘Legacy lives on’: Vancouver police honor Officer Don Sahota four years after his death

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – Thursday marks four years since the Vancouver Police Department lost Officer Don Sahota, who was shot to death by a Clark County deputy in 2022.

Sahota, 53, was off duty when Deputy Jonathan Feller shot him at his home in Battle Ground on Jan. 29, 2022. Official reports state that Sahota had been struggling with an armed robbery suspect on his front porch when the deputy mistook his identity.
