LOVINGSTON — An Augusta County woman accused of killing a man in a shooting earlier this year appeared in Nelson County General District Court on Jan. 28 for a preliminary hearing.
Katelynn A. Hipes, 23, is charged with second-degree murder and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. She’s suspected of killing Kevin S. Small in April.
Small’s body was discovered sitting on a tractor in a field at 149 Serenity Trail in Shipman, according to testimony. Clothing and boots were found nearby…
