MONCKS CORNER, S.C. (WCSC) — Berkeley County residents will soon see the second phase of construction for U.S. Highway 176, focusing on a 2.7-mile stretch from Jedburg Road to Nexton Parkway.
The project aims to improve traffic flow in an area where congestion has worsened due to ongoing residential development.
“Because of all the development, it’s gotten worse,” Jim Stringer, a Berkeley County resident, said. “The more people you apply and put on the road, the more traffic you have, the more backup you have.”
