Heads up, commuters in Forsyth County, as the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) is bringing bridge repairs that will be closing lanes on U.S. 421 Southbound starting tonight. NCDOT announced that the southbound direction at Exit 246 to Shallowford Road had shut down from 8 p.m. yesterday and is expected to reopen the next day by 6 a.m., weather permitting, making your drive a bit more complex than usual.
