HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — Controversy has sparked following Huntsville Hospital’s announcement last week that it plans to acquire Crestwood Medical Center in a $450 million deal, with many concerns being aired across social media.

Responses from locals FOX54 received Thursday were been mixed, with residents worried about health care quality, job security and potential costs. Many community members also raised concerns about the possible monopolization of health care services in the Tennessee Valley.
