Ice fishermen brave frigid temperatures for biting fish in Kalamazoo County

KALAMAZOO COUNTY, Mich. — A long stretch of bitter cold and snowy weather has left many Michiganders feeling a bit stir crazy, but for ice fishing enthusiasts, the deep freeze is a welcome invitation back onto frozen lakes.

“I just like getting out. It’s so fresh,” fisherman Kim Hill said. “Just being able to get outdoors in the winter, you know, instead of being inside cooped up.”
