Firefighters quickly extinguished a kitchen fire that extended into the walls of a home on Orange Road in Montclair Thursday morning, authorities said.
Fire Chief Robert Duncan said that one person was hurt. However, nobody was hospitalized and the two people inside the residence escaped safely, police said.
