PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY)– Police in Portsmouth are responding to a crash involving a school bus Thursday morning.
According to dispatch, officers were called to the intersection of Vick Street and Pollux Circle at 7:45 a.m. for the report of a crash involving a school bus. It is believed that the school bus struck a pole and is the only vehicle involved in this crash.
Portsmouth Public Schools officials confirmed 39 Waters Middle School students were on board at the time of the accident. Four students were transported to the hospital with minor injuries. Emergency services were on scene and assessing students.
