Parents speak out as Fort Bend ISD considers closing schools

FORT BEND COUNTY, Texas (CW39) — Emotions ran high at a Fort Bend ISD school board meeting as parents filled the room to speak out against plans to close several neighborhood schools.

One after another, parents stood at the microphone, asking school leaders to keep their schools open. Many said they were shocked by the proposal and worried about what it could mean for their children and their communities.
