Arkansas AG announces Fayetteville pair convicted of exploiting vulnerable person

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — Arkansas Attorney General Tim Griffin announced two people from Fayetteville have been convicted following investigations by his Medicaid Fraud Control Unit.

David Pelto, 44, and Roi Pelto, 42, pleaded no contest on Jan. 22 to one count of exploiting a vulnerable person.

The two, who were married at the time, allegedly exploited David Pelto’s uncle after placing him in a nursing home, taking his personal belongings, and transferring the victim’s personal funds for their own use, Griffin’s office said…
