Rockford man charged with smashing into, stealing car from Janesville dealership

JANESVILLE – A Rockford man is facing a series of felony charges for smashing into a Janesville car dealership last April and driving out with an expensive sports car.

Myqwon Greer, 25, was charged Jan. 26 in Rock County Circuit Court with felony charges of burglary, criminal damage to property and theft of a car valued at about $250,000.

According to a criminal complaint, Janesville police responded on the morning of April 8, 2025, to Boucher Chrysler Dodge Jeep of Janesville, to a report that someone had in the overnight hours smashed showroom windows and stolen “numerous items,” including a $250,000 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Demon 170, about 20 Coach purses and portable drill. The purses, valued at $200-$300 each, had been on display in the dealership, to be given to customers upon the purchase of a new vehicle…
