National anti-ICE strike plans grow, ‘no work, no school, no shopping’

Calls for a nationwide strike are gaining steam following two fatal, high-profile shootings by federal immigration officers in Minneapolis earlier this month.

Residents in dozens of U.S. states are reportedly participating in a national shutdown to protest the recent actions of United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). Participants are encouraged not to go to school, work or shop on Jan. 30, according to NationalShutdown.org.
