Amtrak announced it will restore service between Albany and New York City that was suspended last May due to ongoing work on damage caused by Hurricane Sandy, causing months of disruptions for commuters.
According to reporting by Haley Brown in the New York Post, “Gov. Kathy Hochul took credit for the turnaround, saying it came after a pressure campaign and comments she made blasting Amtrak’s original plan to slash trains during the tunnel rehab.”…
