RICHMOND COUNTY, Ga. (WJBF) – A man has been arrested after authorities attempted a traffic stop of a stolen vehicle.
According to the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office, members of the Crime Suppression Team observed a stolen vehicle identified as a 2020 Silver Ford Ranger was observed traveling down Deans Bridge near the I-520 interchange on Friday at approximately 5:12 P.M.
According to authorities, when the driver noticed a marked patrol unit, the vehicle abruptly accelerated across several lanes of traffic, and when deputies attempted a traffic stop, the vehicle fled, traveling onto I-520 and reaching speeds exceeding 90 miles per hour while driving recklessly in an attempt to evade law enforcement…
