Inside the New Chanel Boutique in Boca Raton

Today, Chanel opened its highly anticipated new boutique at the Town Center at Boca Raton, Florida. This marks a significant addition to the House’s presence in the region, bringing the complete Chanel universe under one roof in a sophisticated single-level space spanning 5,370 square feet.

The boutique, designed by renowned New York-based architect Peter Marino—a longtime collaborator with the House—offers an immersive journey that unites Fashion, Watches & Fine Jewelry, and Fragrance & Beauty. Marino draws deep inspiration from Gabrielle Chanel’s legendary apartment at 31 rue Cambon in Paris, translating its refined spirit into a contemporary setting. Luminous gold tones layer throughout the interior, evoking the warm, iconic ambiance of Mademoiselle Chanel’s storied residence while incorporating the House’s signature codes with delicate precision.

The expansive layout features eight individual salons, each adorned with custom silk-wool carpets and meticulously hand-finished details. Upon entering, clients step into two adjoining areas dedicated to leather goods and accessories, setting a tone of curated elegance. The entrance flows seamlessly into the shoe salon, highlighted by custom Venini lighting designed by Marino and two distinctive half-tube chairs by Voukenas Petrides. Adjacent to this lies a dedicated Fragrance & Beauty space, completing the welcoming front experience.

Further into the boutique, a separate salon for Watches & Fine Jewelry showcases moon gold plaster walls framing a coromandel screen for fine jewelry display. A black textured watch wall features four Gambone vessels, two Chinese lacquer boxes, and a Gold Box by Johan Creten, adding artistic depth.

Toward the rear, three distinct ready-to-wear salons await. The first includes vibrant cobalt blue Augusto Bozzi chairs, while the second embraces Chanel’s classic black, ivory, and gold palette, accented by a Monogold coffee table by Yves Klein. The third, a secluded corner salon for top clients, pays direct homage to Gabrielle Chanel’s apartment with Louis XVI chairs, an antique Chinese coromandel screen, a Venini vase, and a custom limestone-top coffee table with bronze base by Marino.

In tribute to Mademoiselle Chanel’s legacy as a patron of the arts, Marino has curated an exceptional collection of artworks. Fitting rooms display pieces by American artists Wyatt Kahn (acrylic on linen) and Robert Greene (textured abstract). A vestibule features Vera Lutter’s striking black-and-white Palm Tree photograph. Additional highlights include a gold modelling paste canvas by Florian & Michael Quistrebert and a digital print on acrylic glass portrait of Mademoiselle Chanel by Norbert Brunner…
