A Coconut Creek man was arrested Monday and charged with aggravated battery, causing bodily harm, and disability after investigators alleged he purposely closed a garage door on his mother, causing significant injuries.
Coconut Creek Police Department records show Donald Francis Esposito, 32, was taken into custody on January 26 following an incident reported at a residence in the 1400 block of Northwest 48th Avenue, court documents show.
CCPD officers responded to the scene following a 911 call shortly before noon. According to a probable cause affidavit, Esposito’s mother suffered a significant head injury when she fell due to the garage door slamming her to the ground, resulting in a deep laceration to the lower rear portion of her head that was bleeding heavily.
