Jason Dekaye, a Junior ROTC instruction in the Erie Public School District has been arrested. As of Jan. 30 Dekaye is still custody and is awaiting a date for a court hearing.
The Erie School District has released statement regarding the employee now on leave, who has recently been arrested. While the employee’s actions did not involve a student from the Erie School District, the school has still relayed their concerns for his behavior.
“We have been made aware that one of our JROTC instructors, Jason Dekaye, has been charged with the unlawful transmission of harmful materials to a person he believed to be a minor in Florida. Mr. Dekaye’s alleged actions did not involve any of our students…
