Wife allegedly goes ballistic when estranged husband shows up with new lady friend

A Summerfield woman was arrested on a warrant Wednesday for allegedly battering her soon-to-be ex-husband.

On the night of Jan. 11, a deputy responded to a domestic battery involving 39-year-old Courtney Garcia at her home in Summerfield, according to an arrest report from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.

Upon arrival, he met with Garcia who stated she and her husband have three children together but were in the process of getting divorced. He left the scene before law enforcement got there, the report said.

She further advised that he pulled her back by the right arm and got into a shoving match with her. He eventually picked her up by the front of her jacket and threw her into a Kia Telluride, leaving a dent.
