🌨️ Bomb Cyclone Ahead

The next challenge comes in the form of a bomb cyclone—a rapidly intensifying winter storm that develops when pressure drops dramatically in a short period of time. This one is set to take aim at New York City and much of the Northeast, arriving Saturday night, lingering through Sunday, and finally clearing out by Sunday night.

A report by FOX Weather says the storm is likely to intensify rapidly, a phenomenon known as “bombing out,” potentially transforming it into a bomb cyclone. Forecast models show its central pressure could plunge as it moves offshore, a key indicator that the system is strengthening fast and becoming more dangerous.
