WHITEHOUSE, Ohio — A longtime treasurer for a Whitehouse Boy Scout troop is facing theft allegations after police say he took more than $22,000 from the troop’s bank account over a two-year period.
According to police records, leaders with Scout Troop 97 first noticed tens of thousands of dollars missing from the troop’s account. They reported the discrepancies to Whitehouse police after reviewing more than two years of financial records.
