JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – Mississippi is one of three states which will receive Public Assistance emergency funding from FEMA after the recent winter storm, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security announced Friday.
Tennessee and Louisiana are also receiving this “expedited, upfront emergency funding” from FEMA for the purpose of supporting “life-saving response actions,” DHS officials said in a statement.
The funding provided to each state includes:
- $3.75 million to Mississippi
- $3.75 million to Tennessee
- $3.79 million to Louisiana
