Dayton boy flown to burn center after black powder blast injures face, eyes

DAYTON, Nev. (News 4 & Fox 11) — Authorities say a child was flown to a burn center Friday morning after he was injured playing with black powder at a Dayton home.

Lyon County Deputies and Central Lyon County Fire Protection District responded to the area of Flowery Avenue and Rosepeak Road for an 11-year-old boy who had burned himself around 10:30 a.m. on Jan. 30.
