JOHNSTOWN, Ohio — As Intel’s massive semiconductor project reshapes central Ohio, state transportation leaders are studying major changes to U.S. Route 62 — and residents who drive the corridor daily say the impacts are already being felt.
“The traffic in our area has just gotten awful,” say Craig and Tiffani Bohning, who have lived in Johnstown for 20 years. “You’re fighting truck traffic the entire time.”
The Ohio Department of Transportation is now evaluating improvements along a 6.2-mile stretch of U.S. 62, from Smith’s Mill Road/Walton Parkway in New Albany to Clark Drive at the edge of Johnstown.
