Warming shelter: Conway church opens doors to those in need during cold snap

CONWAY, S.C. (WPDE) — With cold weather expected throughout the weekend, Seacost Church in Conway is opening its doors to provide shelter and warmth for those in need.

Pastor David Howard explained the church’s mission: “The Bible talks about if you have two shirts, you share one with somebody. If you have food, you share it with someone. And we’ve been blessed with resources here.”

He emphasized the community’s generosity, noting, “Our people have stepped up and donated things. They donate time. They donate food, they donate clothing.”…
