A beach near Highway 1 is disappearing. Now California may need to move the road

California transportation officials are considering moving a stretch of Highway 1 away from a disappearing beach — and into a coastal Bay Area neighborhood.

Local officials were taken aback when they learned about the idea from a local news site. They have concerns.
